Rat Pathways to Rakiura Research: Introducing the CEBRA Team
2 September @ 6:00 pm
FreeYOU’RE INVITED!
Predator Free Rakiura is supporting PF2050 and CEBRA to investigate rat pathways to Rakiura, and we need your help!
An effective, reliable, and feasible biosecurity system is a key requirement for the long-term future of Predator Free Rakiura.
PF2050 is funding research by the Centre of Excellence for Biosecurity Risk Analysis (CEBRA) from Melbourne to assess and model rat entry pathways to Rakiura, which aims to understand incursion risks and manage biosecurity measure priorities.
This work will help to inform the design of a biosecurity system for Rakiura.
The research process includes CEBRA visiting Rakiura and Bluff to host information sessions and workshops with technical experts – that means you! We hope you can join us to share your experience and knowledge of rats and how they might travel to Rakiura. When Predator Free Rakiura is successful, we need to make sure we can stop rats from returning to the island! If you’d like more information about this research, visit our website here. RSVP by email to info@predatorfreerakiura.org.
